Meet the New Director....
Ms. McCoy is a firm believer in the power of theater as an educational and developmental tool for young people.
She has a particular interest in utilizing the unique power of theater to allow individuals to see the world through another perspective. Over the past decade or so, she has been lucky enough to join countless children and young adults as they grow through the arts.
Ms. McCoy started her teaching career in Connecticut at Oddfellows Playhouse; teaching acting classes and directing productions such as Holes and Peter Pan.
While in Connecticut, she also served as an arts educator at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts, Hartford Magnet Middle School, Killingworth Elementary School and other area youth programs.
After relocating to the Boston area, Ms. McCoy earned an M.Ed from Lesley University and taught theater at UP Academy Boston, the Boston Arts Academy, and - most recently - at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts.
Ms. McCoy holds a B.A. in theater and English from Wesleyan University. She lives in Holliston with her partner, James, and two young sons.
