The MHS Theatre Society is proud to provide opportunities for students to assume leadership roles in all aspects of the program. Leadership roles range in scope and commitment level so that there are opportunities for lots of different members to get involved. Department Heads are selected based on hands-on experience and demonstrated commitment to the program. If you are interested in learning more about a Department Head position, talk to the Tech Director or a current student leader. Formal application processes exist for the two Officer positions and six Stage Manager positions available each year. To learn more, see details below. |

Stage Management Selection
Stage Management is a large commitment and requires someone who wants to learn about all aspects of the theatrical process . Selected students begin as Assistant Stage Managers (or ASM's) for a specific show. ASM's job shadow and assist the Stage Manager and then assume the Stage Manager position the following year. We periodically hold interest meetings so that members can learn more about what the role entails from the current Stage Managers. If you think you might be interested, attend a meeting and/or speak to a current Stage Manager. If you decide you want to apply, please fill out the form below and submit it to the Tech Director via email. Selections are made when positions become available.

Officer Selection
Each spring, members of the junior class are invited to learn more about the two officers roles within the Society. Following that meeting, eligible and interested candidates are invited to apply. Eligibility Requirements: - Must be a rising senior - Must be a current MHS Theatre Society Member - Must have received credit for at least 3 mainstage shows ("mainstage" meaning Fall Play and Musical, though candidates can certainly also have done MAD) Selection Process: Eligible students submit an application, which is then reviewed by a panel consisting of Theatre Society adult personnel. Selection Timeline: Applications are submitted in late March with selections announced by the end of April. |
